The year is 2020, we’re in the midst of a global pandemic, and people are looking for any way possible to stay entertained. Enter Tik Tok…
I saw a few videos about how to make easy breakfast sandwiches and quesadillas on Tik Tok and knew we had to try them! I’ll admit, I was definitely skeptical, but it really is as easy as it looks!
Just grab your favorite breakfast items and a frying pan, and your breakfast made to order is only minutes away! We’ve tried several different filling options, but this last iteration was actually our Christmas morning breakfast! We kept it simple by chopping up some freshly made ham and adding in cheese, but it’s definitely easy to get carried away with the endless possibilities!

Ingredients
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
Tortilla (flour or whole wheat)
Cheese
Meat (bacon, ham, sausage, etc.)
Vegetables (avocado, tomato, onion, etc.)
Sauces (salsa, sour cream)
Directions
- Thoroughly grease a frying pan
- Heat pan over medium heat
- Beat eggs and milk together in bowl until fluffy, and then pour them into the hot pan
- Cook eggs (like you’re cooking an omelette), until the top barely looks wet
- Place tortilla on top of eggs and lightly press down to “glue” them together
- Using a large spatula, carefully flip the egg and tortilla over so the tortilla is touching the pan and the egg is on top
- Add cheese to entire surface
- Once the cheese starts melting, add your meat and/or vegetables to one side of the eggs
- Fold tortilla in half and let cheese continue to melt for one minute
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve with any additional dipping sauces.
Notes
- Be sure to grease your pan thoroughly! After you’ve placed the tortilla down onto the eggs, I recommend slowly twisting it in a circular motion to make sure that it will flip without ripping.
- The possibilities with these breakfast quesadillas are truly endless! If you like Caprese, consider using mozzarella, basil, tomato, and balsamic vinegar. Or if you have some leftovers laying around, this is a great way to use them up!
- Try cutting your next quesadilla with a pizza cutter. It will change your life!
- This recipe can easily be adapted to be gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian.
Great idea! I’m going to make those.
