Life Lately

Well, it’s officially been two months since I did a quick post about what we’ve been up to lately, so I’m pretty sure that means I’m overdue. Rest assured, I’d never be cut out for the #influencer lifestyle because I just cannot get my ducks in a row over here! Anyway, let’s take a look at some random moments from March and April!

In March, we celebrated Gary’s 30 Days of 30, which culminated in a special birthday hike and birthday sherbet straight out of the container. It was the perfect way for Gary to ring in a new decade!

We also started our balcony garden in March, and Gary was so invested that he even wrote a guest post for me – Starting Our Balcony Garden. I’ll have to nudge him to do an update post for us. Some plants are flourishing beyond belief and others are…not. I’ll let him say more about that (hopefully soon)! He also got to use one of his Christmas presents – a self-watering pot for indoors. He was so excited about a dehydrated disk of dirt that expanded in the water that I had to snap a photo!

Since the weather has been so nice here lately, we’ve been trying to go for more picnics and walks on/near the beach. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place, and I absolutely love our picnic adventures.

Rest assured that the last two months weren’t all rainbows and sunshine. A dear friend of mine sent me this card and Schitt’s Creek sticker in the mail during a particularly challenging week and it brought me so much joy!

Speaking of joy, my camera roll seemed to be full of random things that brought me joy over the last few months. One of those random things was the addition of a new bkr bottle to my collection…yes, I’ve officially started a collection. I only have two as of now, but you just wait! Gary is concerned that this could get out of hand…rightfully so! I should do a post about these water bottles because my absolute favorite. They are made of glass with a silicone sleeve, they’re 100% dishwasher safe, and I swear water tastes better out of them. Gary bought me the smooth pink one for Chanukah, and I finally splurged on a spikey one in the same color. They. Are. The. Best.

I also started a new Beautycounter eyeshadow palette, and I had to snap a photo of the momentous occasion. Aside from fancy water bottles and eyeshadow palettes, the Trader Joe’s flower display, the Doubletree cookie recipe, and pretty sunsets were also highlights in my camera roll.

Without a doubt, though, the most momentous things to happen within the last two months were our four vaccination appointments! As of next week, we’re both officially past the two-week post-vaccination mark. We are so excited to be able to go visit our families for the first time in over a year and venture out of our little cocoon! Look out, May, the Peiffers are coming for you! 🙂

xoxo
